OK I am guilty. I got employed and started missing networking events. Here are a few goals after you land the job:
1) Pick 1-2 professional groups to keep attending. Attend enough to maintain connections.
2) Call the interesting people in your phone list. Make time to contact a few people that do not always call you.
3) Schedule some non-business or fun networking events. Find people outside your regular business networks.
4) Don’t forget to twitter and blog (if it has help you stay connected or get hired)
